Jaipur: Almost a fortnight after a 13-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by two persons at a pre-wedding function, her family lodged an FIR on Thursday. Police took the girl for medical examination and recorded her statements.
The incident took place in a village situated under Bhanipura police station area of Churu.
The two accused had threatened to harm her parents if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
According to the police, the father of the girl approached the police on Thursday evening and stated that two months ago he got some construction work done at his house. “A labourer identified as Krishan Nayak became friendly with the family. Later, on June 21 he was invited in a pre-wedding function at his house. Krishan came along with a friend. He called my daughter on some pretext and took her to an isolated place and gangraped her,” said a senior police officer. tnn
