Tight Security Ahead Of Shah’s Jaipur Trip Today | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Police have tightened security arrangements ahead of Union home minister Amit Shah’s visit for the North Zonal Council meeting here on Saturday.
Police said nearly 100 VVIP dignitaries, including chief ministers of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, are expected to reach Jaipur for the meet.
“The main event will be held at a hotel. Jaipur police has deployed additional cops around the hotel,” said DCP (South) Mridul Kachawa.
Sources informed TOI that Shah will land on Saturday morning and head to the hotel. He is expected to visit the BJP office before returning to New Delhi the same day.
A senior official said DGPs and other top-ranking officials will begin landing on Saturday morning.
“We had been making arrangements ever since the meeting for the council was fixed in Jaipur.
The area around the hotel is being closely examined and multiple cordons will be placed so that VIP movement is not impeded,” the official said.
City police said the arrival of guests will begin at 6.30 am. Different teams have been assigned to escort VIPs from the airport to the hotel. At the same time, police check posts have been set up at over a dozen locations.
Police said patrolling on JLN Marg, Rambagh Circle, Bapu Nagar, and Malviya Nagar has been intensified.
Earlier in the day, an important meeting was held at the city police commissionerate to review security arrangements, and to brief DCPs about their roles for Saturday.
