HC Notice: Hc Notice To Govt, Police Over ‘illegal Detention’ Of Man In City | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Hearing a habeas corpus on illegal detention, a division bench of Rajasthan high court comprising Justice Pankaj Bhandari and Justice Bhuvan Goyal sought reply from the chief secretary, additional chief secretary (home), director general of police, additional director general, human trafficking, and SHO of Karni Vihar. The court has given one week to file the reply by September 21.
Mithlesh Kumar, counsel for the petitioner, on Thursday said that the petition was filed by Akshay Chaudhary through his father Prabu Dayal in which it was stated that on August 22 Chaudhary was kidnapped by eight persons.
“Kidnappers snatched his vehicle and Rs 5 lakh. His father approached me and my wife, who too is a lawyer, and we sought police intervention. However, on August 24, it was found that Chaudhary was arrested by the Karni Vihar police for planning dacoity. Police claimed that Chaudhary was part of the ‘5600 gang’ involved in dacoity. On the same day, he was produced before the magistrate and was sent to judicial custody,” Kumar said.
Kumar said that documentary evidence was provided to the court, including the GPS location of the vehicle possessed by his client.
He said that from August 22 to August 24, Chaudhary, who is currently in jail, was kept in illegal detention.

IAF Chief VR Chaudhari to receive first C-295 transport aircraft for India in Spain
Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, Chief of Air Staff, will receive the first C-295 transport aircraft made for India by Airbus in Seville, Spain. The remaining 40 aircraft will be produced in an Indian facility in Gujarat. The aircraft is expected to be formally inducted into service in Hindan in September. The project is significant as it marks the first time a military aircraft will be manufactured in India by a private company.
