Traffic Diversions: Traffic Diversions For Laying Bisalpur Pipelines | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Jaipur traffic police announced the suspension of vehicular traffic between Gurudwara intersection and Hotel Broadway in Transport Nagar from Tuesday evening.

The police stated they took measures due to the start of the eighth phase of the ongoing Bisalpur drinking water pipeline laying project.
The work will begin from Tuesday night and is expected to be over on August 12.

As per the updated traffic arrangements, all bus services operating along this route will be suspended. Buses that previously plied from Naryan Singh Circle to Govind Marg enroute to Agra and Delhi roads will now be rerouted via JDA Circle, Shanti Path, Jawahar Nagar bypass, and subsequently Rotary Circle.
Similarly, buses that previously plied along MI Road to reach Transport Nagar and Amber via Gurudwara will now follow a new route through Sanganeri Gate, Badi Chaupar, Subash Chowk, and Ramgarh Mod.
A third alternative route has been designated for light vehicles commuting from Ghatgate to Transport Nagar. This route entails vehicles traveling via Mukti Marg, passing near Sophia School, and continuing through Adarsh Nagar to access Govind Marg.
According to the traffic police, vehicles intending to reach Transport Nagar from Govind Marg to the Gurudwara intersection can use the route via Satya Sai College intersection to reach their destination.
The traffic police measures will not disrupt the flow of vehicles between MI Road and Transport Nagar. Residents residing between the Gurudwara intersection and Hotel Broadway will be offered alternative routes to facilitate their daily commuting needs.
Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) officials said the police had allowed them to block the 1.8km stretch on Agra Road to lay down pipelines only for three days and they would strictly adhere to the deadline. Once this project is completed, PHED would start laying down pipelines from OTS crossing to the under construction pumphouse adjacent to GSI Building on Jhalana Bypass through Sangsthan Path.
“Under Bisalpur II project we are augmenting facilities at Brahmapuri pumphouse for residents of walled city and Kho Nagoriyan areas. The intermediate pump house on Jhalana Bypass is coming up for this reason. We are laying these pipe lines to connect Balawala storage facility to the new pump house and to connect Brahmapuri pumphouse with this pump house,” said a PHED engineer.
Officials stated, in April to May PHED had completed major portion of pipeline works in the city areas. However, these two stretches – on Agra Road and on Jhalana Bypass and the road adjacent to RIC – remained incomplete owing to heavy traffic and VVIP movements.
