Jaipur: With the election commission of India (ECI) announcing the schedule of the 2nd special summary of electoral roll ahead of the assembly elections in Rajasthan, cluster camps will be organised for voter registration of transgenders on July 20 and September 4, and for the registration of specially-abled persons on July 27, August 10 and September 14.
Similarly, cluster camps will be organized for students on August 17, August 24 and September 5 and that for the registration of PVTGs (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups) on August 5 and September 16, said Praveen Gupta, chief electoral officer, Rajasthan.
The publication of the draft electoral roll will be on August 21 and the final electoral roll will be published on October 4. So far, as many as 5.17 crore voters have been registered. Of these, 2.70 crore are male voters and 2.47 crore are female. In all, 5.63 lakh specially-abled voters and 12.59 lakh senior citizen voters have registered.
