UP power plant DGM dies as car overturns | Jaipur News

KOTA: A 42-year-old man, posted as a deputy general manager (DGM) in a private power plant in Lalitpur of Uttar Pradesh, was killed on the spot when his car overturned after hitting a divider and caught fire on NH-27 near Jamuniya Khaal under Bhanwargarh police station of Baran late on Saturday night.
The deceased, identified as Satish Kumar Sharma (42), a resident of Deoria in UP, was on his way to meet his two daughters, who are pursuing coaching for NEET-UG in Kota.
Sharma would drive his car from Lalitpur to Kota every Saturday to meet his daughters and wife, who also lived with them, said Bhanwargarh SHO Dalpat Singh.
“The mishap occurred at around 9.30 on Saturday night while Sharma was heading to Kota via NH – 27. After hitting the divider, his car caught fire but some truckers passing through the same highway, stopped and pulled him out of the car by breaking off its glasses,” said Singh.
On receiving the information about the mishap, police and also a fire tender reached the spot and doused off the fire. Sharma was taken to a government hospital in Kelwada, where the doctors declared him dead, he added.
Police handed over his body to family members after the post mortem on Sunday morning and lodged a case under relevant section for further probe. tnn
