Urban Development: Udh Min Awards Civic Bodies For Issuing Max Land Leases | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Urban development and housing minister Shati Dhariwal on Monday felicitated seven civic bodies across the state for issuing maximum number of land leases under their respective jurisdictions in the last three years. The state government earned a revenue Rs 3,254.55 crore from these. While Jaipur Development Authority had topped the list by issuing 1,26,314 pattas in the last three years, Udaipur Municipal Corporation finished second by issuing 30,504.
“Udaipur Municipal Corporation finished second in the list, It managed to issue 217.89% more than the target of only 14,000 pattas,” said a UDH official.
“Jaipur managed to generate over Rs 327 crore,” an official added. The civic bodies of the rest five cities – that were felicitated – are Kota, Barmer, Kuchaman City, Suratgarh and Itawa.

A vigilant train driver averted a potential disaster on the Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express by stopping the train just in time after spotting stones and iron rods on the track. The incident occurred between Gangarar and Soniyana section. No damage was reported, and the train resumed its journey once the track was cleared. An inquiry is being conducted by the Railway Protection Force. This comes after multiple instances of Vande Bharat trains being targeted across the country.
