Jaipur: The academic council of Rajasthan University (RU) met on Saturday afternoon and approved the syllabus for the semester system.
“Classes had already started for students of first year, even though on a temporary timetable. Since the teachers knew the syllabus they were teaching accordingly. Finally on Saturday we had officially approved the syllabus as per National Education Policy. Syllabus for all subjects has been approved and shortly we will upload this on the website,” said a RU official.
Officials had earlier clarified that the implementation and proper classroom education as per NEP will be delayed for a few months because of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
“On Friday, the university also issued an order seeking details of teachers and non-teaching staff from different centres, departments, colleges and units of the university, who can be posted on election duty, which will again hamper regular classroom education,” said officials.
