Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Health Dept Forms Committee To Implement Centre’s Sankalp Yatra | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s health department has formed a state-level committee for implementation of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), an initiative of the central government to ensure welfare schemes and policies of the government reach all citizens.
Additional chief secretary of the medical and health department, Shubhra Singh, issued a circular regarding the implementation of VBSY on Friday.It said a state-level committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the mission director of National Health Mission (NHM) for successful implementation and effective monitoring of the programme. This committee will ensure that the guidelines issued by the central government regarding VBSY are followed up to the lowest level.
This committee will also provide necessary training at the district levels and will ensure, in coordination with the day nodal officers, that achievements made in various activities during the programme in the districts are registered on the portal. District and block level committees have also been formed for smooth operation of the programme up to the gram panchayat and ward levels.
In this yatra, activities like screening of patients, registration, card distribution and awareness etc. will be organised under National Tuberculosis Eradication Programme, National Sickle Cell Anaemia Eradication Programme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra, and Ayushman Arogya Mandir Programme. These activities will also be registered on the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra portal.
Shubhra Singh instructed officers of the department to ensure no eligible citizen is deprived of the benefits of the government’s health schemes. She also issued instructions about total compliance with the orders.

Dharmendra Pradhan writes to Naveen Patnaik for implementation of PM-USHA scheme in Odisha
Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik to implement the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) scheme in the state. Pradhan requested the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Centre to ensure that Odisha can benefit from the scheme. The MoU includes clauses for planning, implementation, and monitoring of the scheme. Pradhan emphasized that aligning state proposals with reforms such as multiple entry-exit, academic bank of credits, and national higher education qualifications framework (NHEQF) would enhance integration between government policies and schemes for improving higher education. The PM-USHA scheme, approved till March 2026 with a total outlay of Rs 12,926 crore, aims to create and transform institutions in states and UTs.
