Waste Collection: Electric Vehicles For Waste Collection In Mansarovar Too Small, Inefficient | Jaipur News

Jaipur: After JMC-Greater started electric vehicles for waste collection in Mansarovar zone as an environment friendly initiative, the residents say that the carrying capacity of these vehicles is not enough. They said that the vehicles can carry 300-400 kg of waste whereas other vehicles can carry 1200 kg.

“After the electric vehicles were started in our ward, we realised that it is not covering the complete area and needed at least 10-12 rounds to collect all the waste,” said Bharti Lakhyani, councillor from Ward 75.
Residents said that after five to six rounds, the vehicle gets discharged and has to halt for another couple of hours for charging.

Councillors said that after this problem was noticed, now around 15 CNG based waste collection vehicles will be deployed in Mansarovar zone. TNN
