Katrina Kaif has been in the industry for over two decades, ever since she made her debut with the 2003 ‘Boom’. But the actress has been a model for a while, before she decided to join movies. While she’s one of the biggest female superstars today, Katrina also had her fair share of struggle. In an interview, Katrina has talked about the modelling standards of 2000s and how she had to pave her path.
An interview of Katrina from India Today has resurfaced on the internet, wherein she spoke about her struggle as a model.The actress admitted that she faced difficulty in getting many ramp shows. She was told that she was big, too curvy and lacked a proper posture. She realised that it was a problem and made efforts to work on herself. Eventually, she started getting some shows but she would often just have one change which would be loose and oversized while other models had multiple changes.
But Katrina took it positively and kept pushing herself. Later, she found success as a model and achieved more than she ever dreamt of. She’s grateful for her journey, she said, however, she often asks herself when is it enough? Or when can she relax and feel accomplished? The film industry, like any other industry, is highly competitive. So, if one gets complacent, there would be someone who wants it and may surpass you, said Katrina. Hence, the actress continues to remain grounded by remembering her beginnings and continue to put in more effort.
Katrina will be seen next in ‘Tiger 3‘ coming up this Diwali, with Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi. The actress also has ‘Merry Christmas’ with Sriram Raghavan lined up.
