Kota: A 32-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Hariom Nagar under Mahaveer Nagar police station in Kota city on Tuesday night. On the complaint by the deceased woman’s parents, police registered a case of murder against her husband and mother-in-law. Her body was handed over to her family members after the postmortem on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Bharti, wife of Deendayal Dhobi, a resident of Hariom Nagar allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself to ceiling fan in her house on Tuesday late evening, said Mahaveer Nagar police SHO Paramjeet Sigh. Domestic scuffle was reported to be the reason behind the woman’s extreme step, but her parents alleged Bharti’s husband and mother-in-law harassed, tortured and murdered her, he said. The accused have been booked under Section 302 of IPC and we have began the investigation, the SHO said. Bharti was married to Deendayal 10 years ago and on the basis of allegations by Bharti’s family members, a murder case was filed against her husband and mother-in-law, said circle officer of the area DSP Harshraj.
