The deceased mother, identified as Rekha (24) has committed suicide along with her son, Ganpat. We are also investigating other reasons of death. The bodies were handed over to the family members after the postmortem on Wednesday.
SHO Narpatdan said, Rekha was at home with Ganpat on Tuesday evening while her five-year old daughter was at school and husband, Ramcharan was in the fields. In the evening villagers passing from the field heard a sound from the tank. On checking they found Rekha and Ganpat. They alerted Ramcharan and took them to the district hospital where the doctors declared them dead. The parents of the deceased were informed and police will take action based on the report from the family members. According to the family members both fell into the water tank, which was around half a kilometre away from the house.
