Woman Loses ₹43l In Online Fraud, Fourof A Gang Arrested | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of police arrested four persons for allegedly duping a person of Rs 43 lakh by promising a part-time job of liking YouTube videos.
The agency in a statement on Wednesday said that it arrested Yuvraj Meena, a resident of Bhilwara, Lehru Lal Teli of Chittorgarh, Kishan Lal Prajapat of Chittorgarh, and Goverdhan, also from Chittorgarh.
The agency said that a woman had filed a complaint recently that a sales manager of an advertising agency sent her messages on WhatsApp and Telegram. The man told her that she could get Rs 50 per video by clicking on like buttons which could fetch her as much as Rs 2,500 per day.
The agency officials then examined 11 of those bank accounts in which the complainant had deposited money.
Sleuths discovered that in one bank account alone there were transactions to the tune of Rs 22 crore and about Rs 30 lakh of that amount was frozen. Cops then examined phone numbers connected with these bank accounts and arrested the accused. As per the agency, their investigation has also revealed that the accused in Mumbai registered a fake company and set up a fake office there.
The agency said that they have also recovered chequebooks, ATM cards, passbooks etc and a further probe was underway.
