Jaipur: JMC-Greater mayor Somya Gurjar on Sunday laid the foundation stone virtually for different development projects worth over Rs 313 crore in the city.
Gurjar said that development works worth Rs 313.35 crore include construction of new roads, laying of mini-links in sewer line network and laying of new sewer lines, works in crematoriums, cemeteries, new councillor offices, construction of public toilets, community centre construction, setting up Indira Rasois in the city.
The mayor also laid the foundation stone for installing new high mast lights, starting two e-libraries, setting up five open gyms and 22 gardens.
“In today’s event, JMC-Greater has dedicated development works for every section like youth, women, etc. A e-charging station has been developed in Mansarovar zone and is ready for use. Besides, a sewerage treatment plan has also been made,” said Gurjar.
JMC-Greater commissioner Babu Lal Goyal said that joint efforts should be made by all to ensure better monitoring of cleanliness in the wards.

Foundation stones of 5 MCD schools to be laid by Dec: Mayor
Mayor Shelly Oberoi announced that five new schools will be constructed by December this year. In an effort to enhance the quality of education, principals of MCD schools will receive training at IIM, while teachers will be sent abroad for training. The Mayor also mentioned that efforts are being made to improve the school buildings.
