Jaipur: An estranged husband, accompanied by his aides, stormed into his wife’s house, daughter of a constable, and assaulted her and her mother before fleeing the scene after firing a gun on Sunday.
Police said the house belonged to the constable who was out on duty when the incident took place.
The incident occurred shortly after 3am on Sunday in Narsingh Vihar residential colony under Kardhani police station area.
According to officials, 29-year-old Naveen arrived at the house in a car with his aides. They climbed over the gate to enter the house, where they attacked Naveen’s 21-year-old wife and her mother. The women alleged that Naveen was carrying a hammer and attacked one of the family members with it.

While the woman and her family alleged that the accused assaulted them with the intent to rob, police stated that the case is rooted in an ongoing marital dispute.
