Modi attends state polls meet, Rajasthan candidates list soon
The BJP held a central election committee meeting to discuss finalizing candidates for the Rajasthan assembly polls. The party aims to win back office despite facing dissent and resistance from the Congress. No announcements were made, but there is a possibility of senior leaders, including MPs and Union ministers, being asked to contest, similar to the Madhya Pradesh formula. The BJP has decided not to project a chief ministerial candidate for the state polls, breaking a three-decade tradition.

‘Congress-run Rajasthan government most corrupt’: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has accused the Congress-run Rajasthan government of corruption in mid-day meals and mining. Shekhawat referred to the government as the “most corrupt government” in Rajasthan and criticized Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for crying foul whenever central agencies investigate corruption. Shekhawat also mentioned the recent discovery of gold in a government office and the claim of a “red diary” made by a sacked minister. The Congress government has not yet responded to these allegations. Rajasthan is one of five states scheduled to hold assembly elections later this year.
