Youth hurt in firing near coaching institute in city | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Traders shut shop and ran away in panic as shots were fired outside a coaching institute in Sanganer area following a confrontation between a courier boy and the institute’s administrator on Monday evening.
A youth was injured in the firing as two groups formed during the confrontation and clashed with each other.
Police said they had registered a case and obtained CCTV footage of nearby areas to identify the people involved in the violence.
According to the police, a courier delivery boy identified as Hemendra came at 4.30pm to the coaching institute and met Prem Dhakar, the administrator of the institute.
“Both first entered into a verbal spat and later started kicking and punching each other. Thereafter, Hemendra called up a few others, who came in an Alto car, and then clashed with members of the coaching institute,” said a police officer.
Things took an ugly turn when Prem Dhakar called for help Sohan Ram Banjara, who works at a nearby coaching institute. Banjara opened fire, and a youth identified as Lokesh Khatana sustained a bullet injury in the leg. “The group led by the courier boy managed to flee along with their injured aide,” the officer said.
“The accused Prem Dhakar and Sohan Ram Banjara are on the run and efforts are on to arrest them,” the officer added. Lokesh Sharma, a local trader and eyewitness, said, “Some youths came in a car and started fighting with the administrator of the institute. A man came on a bike and opened fire.” tnn
