Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 17 went from budget beast to a mid-range offering with some models even tapping into India’s premium segment. But given the ongoing memory crisis the brand is now making some tough decisions that make its newest mid-range difficult to recommend. While users can look forward to a new design and larger display, pretty much everything else falls short of expectations in our review.
