‘OMG – Oh My God!’ which released in the year 2012, was a huge hit. The film starred Paresh Rawal and had Akshay Kumar in an extended cameo as Lord Krishna. Now almost 11 years later, the film’s sequel is set to release. It stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam along with Akshay. The cast and crew attended the screening of the film today in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar arrived looking super cool and fit as always in a black t-shirt and Cargo pants, as he striked a pose for the paparazzi.

Akshay, Yami, Pankaj also posed together and Arun Govil who is largely remembered for playing Ram in Ramayana which played on television, was also seen posing with them. Producer Ashwin Varde was also seen at the screening along with the rest of the cast and crew.
The makers of OMG 2 were facing a battle with the censor board for the certification of the film. The censor board finally gave it an ‘A’ certificate with 34 cuts. While the makers wanted a UA certificate, the censor board demanded more than 90 cuts and hence the makers chose to go by the A certificate.
Meanwhile, Akshay showed the film to Sadguru as he bonded with him while playing frizz bee. He praised the film and said it’s very important for the youth and teach them the right code of conduct. The actor in return, thanked Sadguru for his approval.
OMG 2 is releasing with ‘Gadar 2’ on August 11 and the advance bookings of the latter already look quite promising. But one never knows, this one might just pick up and go on to do well, if the film gets good word of mouth.
