Cong: Bjp, Cong Candidates Spar Over Death Of Cows In Adarsh Nagar | Jaipur News

Jaipur: BJP’s candidate from Aadarsh Nagar, Ravi Nayyar wept while mourning the deaths of two cows and a calf at his office premises on Friday.
Accusing his rival Rafik Khan for the deaths, he termed the act a ‘conspiracy’ and demanded a probe into the matter. However, Khan terming it to be a ‘cheap publicity stunt’ advised Nayyar to focus on his canvassing for the elections and asked how Nayyar, even after the death of cows, continued his canvassing and suddenly decided for a press conference in the afternoon to make such allegations.
Addressing the media, Nayyar said, “This morning I saw two cows and a calf dead. Some days ago people in one of my meetings had praised me as ‘Gau Sewak’, which I think was not liked by my opponent Rafik Khan from theCongress party. I think he is behind these deaths.”
“They could have shot me but how come they killed cows?” Nayyar questioned. He claimed that he had given a complaint to the Moti Dungri police station in this regard and demanded the post mortem of the cows by a medical board.
Nayyar was also accompanied by Balmukund Acharaya the BJP candidate from Hawa Mahal constituency in the press conference.
On the other hand commenting on the allegations levelled by BJP candidate, Khan said, “Firstly as far as I am concerned the cows died in the morning. Nayyar was running here and there for his regular canvassing. Suddenly in the afternoon he called mediapersons and started crying. I too would say a probe of this matter should be done.”
“People who are at Aadarsh Nagar constituency know my credibility and credentials well and also know him. I want to remind you that some days ago when stray cows were taken by JMC from Ghat ke Balaji temple I got them freed. Whatever he is doing now, is a publicity stunt and he is trying to disturb the harmony. I would suggest him to focus on election canvassing rather than cooking up such stories,” Khan added.
Khan termed these allegations as ‘mental bankruptcy’ and ‘cheap publicity stunt’.
Congress candidate from Civil Lines, Khachariyawas said on the contraversy, said, “BJP has this habit of doing its politics on temples and cows. I would request people of Jaipur to ensure temples are locked during late night hours and keep cattles they own safe in the houses. BJP workers can destory temples and can kill cows to create an urest situation before the elections.”
