Dia Mirza reveals her ‘Dhak Dhak’ co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh had an epileptic attack during the shoot; says the oxygen was thin and routes were hard | Hindi Movie News

Dia Mirza is awaiting the release of her upcoming film, ‘Dhak Dhak‘ where she will be seen sharing the screen space with Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak and Sanjana Sanghi in the lead roles.
In an interview with News18, Dia recalled an incident where Fatima suffered from an epileptic attackduring the shoot. She revealed that the oxygen was thin, the routes were hard and Fatima had a few situations where she had an epileptic attack.But within seconds, she got up and did one of the most dramatic and significant scenes in the film. Dia also went on to add that she sobbed not because she’s a brilliant performer but looking at her sheer commitment as an artist.

Elaborating further, Dia added that they truly rallied around each other. However, women not getting along with one another is perceived to be more entertaining.

Dia also showered praises on the production team for creating a safe and hospital environment for the cast and the crew even at the highest altitudes of Jammu and Kashmir. Dia said that travelling with a crew strength of 200 people and caring for them is difficult. She revealed that they had all kinds of sickness happening because the oxygen levels were low after a certain point. There were extraordinary challenges. However, they ate hot food and got access to everything they needed to be strong, comfortable, and happy.

Not many know that Dia was the first one to be cast for the film. The actress revealed that she had the script sitting with her for seven to eight months. She was aware about the process the producers went through to bring it all together. According to her, it wasn’t easy to tell this story and it takes a lot of fortitude, strength, and belief in the subject that they’ve pulled off.
‘Dhak Dhak’ will hit the theatres on October 13, 2023.
