Heavy rain lashes Rajasthan, more in next 5 days
JAIPUR: Heavy rainfall continued for second consecutive day in the state on Friday. The Met office stated that in the coming days many places in the Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota divisions will get heavy rainfall.
However, in western Rajasthan, including Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions, mild to moderate showers will continue. A rainfall of 70mm each was recorded at Pratapgarh and Neem ka Thana, the met reports said.
Attributing the revival of monsoon to active cyclonic circulation, the Met office said that for the next five days heavy rainfall is likely to occur at Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota and some parts of the Jaipur divisions. Showers are expected at the Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions.
People in Jaipur woke up amid drizzle and Thursday evening rainfall brought pleasant change in the weather. In the afternoon, rainfall varying from 40mm to 30mm was recorded in and around Jaipur. In the afternoon, a maximum temperature of 34.5 degree Celsius was recorded in the city.
