Kota: The sarpanch of Sangod panchayat samiti in Kota district and the ward councillor of Laturi gram panchayat were arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 50,000 from a house in Bapawar village in the district on Saturday afternoon. The two men were sent to 15-day judicial custody on Sunday.
The accused sarpanch, Manish Kumar Nagar, had demanded the bribe through the ward councillor, Dhanraj Meghwal, for issuing lease paper to the complainant for a plot of land he had purchased around a decade ago, said ACB officials.
