Woman, Infant Daughter Drown In Water Tank In Barmer | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: In yet another case of suspected suicide, a 21-year-old woman who was staying at her parents’ house for the past month due to a dispute with her husband, drowned along with her one-year-old daughter in a water tank in Sheo town of Barmer district on Monday evening.
The woman’s family members told police that the deaths were accidental. They said that the woman drowned in an attempt to rescue her child who had fallen into it.
Police, though, suspect suicide and have started investigation, sources in the police said. The bodies were handed over to family members after postmortem, Sheo SHO Rampratap Singh said on Tuesday.
Singh said that Nenu, 21, who was married to Balotra resident Jagdish two-and-a-half years ago, came with her one-year-old daughter to stay at her parents’ house about a month ago. On Monday evening, both were alone at home.
