Jaipur: Despite the city police claiming to have bolstered security arrangements across the city in preparation for the Assembly elections, a jeweller in Mansarovar was robbed of 18kg silver.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, and the FIR was registered on Sunday. Police teams conducted searches at over a dozen locations on Monday and Tuesday in an attempt to locate the suspects but to no avail.
The jeweller, who runs a shop in Sohan Nagar Mangyawas in Mansarovar, was preparing to close his shop as usual around 9pm on Saturday.He had parked his car near the shop before locking it and had placed two bags outside. At that moment, two men on a motorcycle approached at high speed and stopped near him. Becoming suspicious, he quickly exited the shop, and one of the suspects got off the bike and approached the jeweller. tnn
