Single-use Plastic Ban: Task Forces Collect ₹1 Lakh In Fine | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Zone-wise task forces formed by Jaipur Municipal Corporation – Greater (JMC-G) have collected over Rs 1 lakh fine from those who are still supplying single-use plastic (SUP) products.
The task forces are conducting daily inspections to ensure the ban is followed in the city.
Mukesh Kumar, deputy commissioner (health) with JMC-G, said that action was taken in different zones of JMC-G with over 125 kg of banned single use plastic being seized on Friday.
JMC-G mayor Somya Gurjar has been visiting different zones and wards and urging operators and businessmen not to use single-use plastic items that have been banned by the central government.
The mayor is also meeting representatives from traders’ bodies and vendors at vegetable markets, ensuring that they pledge to not use single-use plastic.
