26 arrested in Rajasthan for liking, sharing gangsters’ social media posts | India News

JAIPUR: The city police on Friday arrested 26 persons who followed and liked social media posts of fugitives Rohit Godara and Ritik Boxer.
Additional commissioner of police (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba said they acted specifically against those who liked and shared two menacing posts of Boxer.
“Immediately after the firing at Days Hotel last Saturday, Boxer had owned up to the firing on social media. The accused made a second post wherein he vowed to avenge his men who were shot by the police. These two posts were incendiary and very dangerous in nature with the potential to stir chaos among people,” Lamba told TOI.
He said the city police had issued clear directions against supporting or following gangsters online.
Those arrested have been held under preventive measures at Bagru, Bindayka, Harmada, Karni Vihar, Lal Kothi, Gandhi Nagar, Tunga, Kanota, Sanganer, Jawahar Circle and Malviya Nagar police stations.
