Jaipur: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has issued notice to the state government on a petition by IPS officer Pankaj Chaudhary over his premature transfer from the post of commandant, state disaster response force, to community policing at police headquarters, Jaipur, issued on June 30. The petitioner said he was given the earlier posting on June 7 2021, which means he was in that post only for a year and 23 days. The CAT, while seeking a reply within four weeks from the government, directed that if the officer has not been relieved from the earlier post, he be allowed to continue in the same post till the next date, said Tanveer Ahmed, counsel for the petitioner.
