Teachers’ Exam: Cops Up Vigil In 28 Districts | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Once bitten twice shy. The authorities are preparing to keep a close eye on the senior teachers’ examination to be held on Sunday.
The same examination had to be cancelled on December 24 after a gang managed to circulate the question paper with answers before the examination. The examination will now be held in 28 districts.
“This time the examination will only be held at the district headquarters. We have not selected any sub-division centres because we don’t want examination papers be sent to faraway locations,” said an official, adding that the examination will be held in two rounds.
Sources said that not just students, but invigilators would also remain under the scanner. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has asked students to come to the examination centres one hour before the start of the examination.
“There is always a lingering fear that some miscreants may try to breach the secrecy of the entire examination. Therefore, clear instructions were issued to all officials concerned about security arrangements,” the official said.
The sources said that district special teams (DSTs) have been directed to follow up on every movement of suspicious persons.
The police will also keep a close eye outside the examination centres for dummy candidates.
On December 24, a gang of the state’s notorious examination mafia hired a bus in which they assembled 46 students and showed them a question paper of the senior teacher recruitment examination and asked them to mug up the answers before the test in Udaipur.
Even as the examination will be held on Sunday, the Rajasthan police are searching for two kingpins of the paper leak racker-Bhupendra Saran and Suresh Dhaka.
Both Saran and Dhaka went into hiding immediately after the Udaipur police busted the racket. “It is important to keep a tab on associates of Saran and Dhaka. Therefore, the Rajasthan police has also stepped up the security ahead of the examination,” said an official.
