Speaking to the media at a Holi Milan programme, the former deputy chief minister advised his supporters to save energy and enthusiasm for the political challenges ahead. “If we work together, we will definitely get the blessings of the people. In the last eight years, the central government led by BJP has continuously disappointed the people,” said Pilot.
Targeting BJP in Rajasthan, he said, “There is disunity and division in BJP’s state unit. They have not behaved like a responsible Opposition in the last four years. The public has seen it. BJP is mired in infighting is and unlikely to emerge as a strong party in Rajasthan. I think if the government and the organization work together, the government will repeat”.
Speaking on the menace of repeated paper leaks in the state, he said such incidents may demoralise the youth and lead them to lose faith in the system. Pilot said people involved in paper leaks should be brought to justice and such incidents should not be repeated to instil confidence in the youth.
“Paper leak is a matter of great concern. No one should play with the future of the youth. Governments come and go, but it is necessary that the educated youth have faith in the system. Without it, there will be a big question mark on the future,” said the Tonk MLA. Asserting that the state government must ensure that paper leaks do not recur, he said, “We make many promises, yet when this thing is repeated again and again, the morale of the people goes down.”
