Rajasthan College Students Clash Over Damaged Car, Two Injured | Jaipur News

“Unknown students from Vivekananda hostel of the university first broke an aspiring student leader’s car on Thursday afternoon when the clash broke out. Before the student union elections, outsiders from various hostels have been calling up aspiring student leaders and pressuring them to make arrangements for food and alcohol for them. On Thursday too, some students were pressuring a student leader and when he did not respond, they broke his car. In this process, some students who had come to take admission got hurt and were injured and NSUI representatives also got injured,” said Ramesh Bhati, state spokesperson of NSUI.
Dev Palsaniya, the student leader whose car was damaged said, “Around seven to eight students came from the hostel side and damaged my car when it was parked at Rajasthan College. I denied arranging for alcohol and food for these students and they got violent. We have recovered CCTV footage and it seems that the persons involved are from Vivekanand hostel.”
On Wednesday security measures in the university were increased and the dean of student’s welfare instructed officials to not allow entry of outside vehicles and guards were instructed to check the identity cards of everyone at the entry gate.
