Jaipur: A special court for Pocso cases in Jaipur has convicted a man to 20 years in jail for kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl in Sanganer police station area of the city. However, due to lack of enough evidence, the court has acquitted three others in this case. The girl was kidnapped, forcibly married and then raped by the man who has been convicted in the case.
The girl, a resident of Hindaun City, was kidnapped on June 13, 2022, by Saurabh Jaatav, 22, when she went to buy milk from a dairy booth. On June 14, the family lodged a case and later Jaatav was arrested by police on July 1.
Presiding officer of the court, Hemraj Gaur, convicted Jaatav and also imposed a fine of Rs 1.30 lakh, informed special public prosecutor Rachna Man.
