Kota: Two days after a suicide bid at home, a 22-year-old college student died during treatment at MBS Hospital in Kota on Tuesday night.
The deceased, Sajni Saini, was a resident of Parvati Colony in the city. She allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan of her room on Sunday evening. Family members pulled her down while she was breathing and rushed her to MBS hospital, where she succumbed during treatment on Tuesday night, said ASI at Railway Colony police station Ishwar Singh.
Police handed over the body to her family members after a postmortem on Wednesday morning and lodged a case of unnatural death under section 174 of CrPC for investigation, he said.
According to family members, Saini was upset over her studies and had been speaking very less with her family. However, no suicide note was recovered from her room, the ASI said.

Woman bludgeoned to death at Greater Noida home while her family sleeps in other room
A 23-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Greater Noida, India, after being bludgeoned to death with a brick. Pinky Singh’s mother and sister discovered her body, which had severe injuries to the head and face. The police suspect that someone from within the building may be involved in the murder and are questioning the family and tenants. CCTV footage is also being reviewed for any potential clues. An FIR has been registered, and four teams are investigating the case.
