Kota: Two days after a suicide bid at home, a 22-year-old college student died during treatment at MBS Hospital in Kota on Tuesday night.
The deceased, Sajni Saini, was a resident of Parvati Colony in the city. She allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling fan of her room on Sunday evening. Family members pulled her down while she was breathing and rushed her to MBS hospital, where she succumbed during treatment on Tuesday night, said ASI at Railway Colony police station Ishwar Singh.
Police handed over the body to her family members after a postmortem on Wednesday morning and lodged a case of unnatural death under section 174 of CrPC for investigation, he said.
According to family members, Saini was upset over her studies and had been speaking very less with her family. However, no suicide note was recovered from her room, the ASI said.

Husband, 5 family members booked for stripping woman, thrashing her in UP’s Pilibhit
A woman in Pilibhit district was allegedly beaten and molested by her husband’s family members for not meeting their dowry demands. The victim’s husband and five other family members have been booked for the assault.
