Dholpur District: Kanwariyas Robbed In Dholpur Dist |

Jaipur: Police arrested two accused on Saturday for robbing a group of kanwariyas from Diwanpura and Sarmathura areas in Dholpur district. About a dozen pilgrims, including Lajjaram, Mansingh, and Devendra, were on their way to collect consecrated Ganga water for offerings at the Mahakal Temple in Sarmathura. While they were on foot, another person was accompanying them on a bike carrying their belongings. The incident occurred around 2 o’clock at night.
During their journey, as they passed through Bari town, three unidentified men armed with a pistol stopped them. The miscreants physically assaulted Lajjaram and Mansingh and proceeded to steal two mobile phones and cash. The assailants fled the scene on their bike.
Local villagers and other kanwariyas reached the spot and expressed their anger over the incident.
