Confusion Over Aircraft Debris Found In Uchain | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Debris of one of the aircraft that crashed mid-air over Gwalior on Saturday morning fell at an open isolated area near a hamlet under Uchain police station area of Bharatpur.
Officials from the armed forces and the district administration were yet to make an official statement on this. IAF officers reached the spot in Uchain to examine the debris and submit a report.
Villagers heard a blast and found parts of an aircraft on a field. “Fire extinguishers were used to douse the fire. We informed the defence authorities to examine the site,” Bharatpur district collector Alok Ranjan told TOI.
According to the local administration, no civilian casualties were reported on the ground. “It was on open field on the outskirts of a hamlet near Uchain. No casualities were reported from here,” said Ranjan.
IAF tweeted, “Two fighter aircraft of IAF were involved in an accident today morning. The aircraft were on routine operational flying training mission. One of the three pilots involved sustained fatal injuries. An inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident.”
TOI spoke to one of the IAF officers near Uchain. “It appears that debris of one of the two fighter planes that met with an accident fell here. The air distance between Morena and Uchain is around 90km. There is a possibility that debris of one of the aircraft fell here,” said the officer.
Chaos prevailed at the spot as a large number of villagers gathered. Initially, there were rumours that a chartered plane had crashed.
However, the defence officials were yet to make official statement on the debris found near Bharatpur.
