Rainfall Brings Respite From Scorching Heat In Raj | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Mild to moderate showers brought down the mercury across the state and provided respite from scorching heat conditions on Sunday. The weather became pleasant in the evening on an otherwise hot day with Kota recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at 44.4°C, Met reports said.
The Met office here said that dust storm and rainfall will occur at many places in northern and western Rajasthan in the next two days.
People in Jaipur woke up to a warm morning with a minimum temperature of 31.3°C. It was followed by a dust storm in the afternoon with the temperature rising to 40.4°C. In the evening, a heavy dust storm followed by mild rainfall occurred across the city.
Some localities on Sikar road, Ajmer road and Tonk road witnessed good rainfall which also brought water logging to the streets. People who had gone out to celebrate their Sunday were stuck in traffic which remained chaotic for some time.
Due to the stormy weather, abrupt power cuts were witnessed across the city.
The Met office stated that similar weather would be witnessed till Tuesday. From Wednesday, mercury will again rise and by Friday heat wave conditions will revive.
