‘does Vp Need Cm’s Nod To Visit Raj?’ Asks Meghwal | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Union minister for law and justice Arjun Ram Meghwal hit out at chief minister Ashok Gehlot for questioning vice-president Jagdeep Dhankar’s recent visit to the state, saying whether the VP needs to take CM’s permission for coming to his state.
“For Dhankhar, Gehlot said, why he is coming now so often. So, the VP will come after getting permission from him?” Meghwal said while speaking to reporters in Jaipur on Thursday.
Gehlot the other day had questioned Dhankhar’s frequent visits to the state ahead of the Assembly elections attributing political motives.
Meghwal said, “It was a central government programme for groundnut farmers in Bikaner which he inaugurated. This will benefit our groundnut farmers here. Earlier, they had to go to Gujarat to get export quality seeds. Now, they will be produced here. The VP came here for the welfare of farmers,” Meghwal said. He said, “The CM is doing politics on this, this is not right.”
Deputy leader of Opposition Satish Poonia said when senior leaders come to the state it leads to confidence-building among the party cadres. “There are many issues against the current government. On top of that, there is Modiji’s charisma. His name and work are our greatest strengths,” he added. TNN
