Man who harassed UK woman in viral video held in Bikaner | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: The Bikaner police apprehended the accused, a 40-year-old man, on Tuesday, who was seen in a viral video accosting a foreign tourist and inappropriately touching her in Jaipur.
SP (Bikaner) Tejaswani Gautam said that the accused was identified as Kuldeep Singh Sisodiya. “Our team from the Nokha police station has detained the accused and will hand him over to the Jaipur police,” she said.
SHO (Nokha) Ishwar Prasad said that the accused is a native of Baran district and was apprehended in Bikaner. He also tried to disguise himself. According to sources, the accused claimed to have travelled to Bikaner for an interview for a teaching position. Police believe the suspect changed his look by removing his moustache when he noticed the police team was after him. He, however, did not change his clothes, including the cap he was sporting.
The incident came to the notice of the Jaipur police when several people shared the video via the WhatsApp and Twitter helplines and responded by filing a case against the accused at the Vidhayakpuri police station.
DCP (South) Yogesh Goyal said that the incident took place outside a hotel near Sindhi Camp. On Tuesday, police teams looked through hotel records and found she had travelled to Jaipur with a friend before leaving the city.
Police, however, said they have not yet been able to get in touch with the woman so far. The Jaipur police disseminated photos of the accused after plucking them from the video.
