Rajasthan: Man gets 20 years in jail for sodomising minor brother | Jaipur News

JAISALMER: A Pocso court here has sentenced a person to 20 years of imprisonment on charges of sodomising his mentally challenged minor brother. The court has imposed a penalty of Rs 25,000 on the convict.
The convict, Shrawanram alias Samaram (24), called his 12-year-old brother near a dharamshala at Ramdevra on February 17. By offering Rs 10, he took him to a deserted place and allegedly sodomised. The minor informed his mother, who filed a case at Ramdevra police station on February 19.
SP Bhanwar Singh Nathawat said the accused was arrested and a chargesheet filed against him in just four days. He said the case was selected under the case officer scheme and with coordination of special public prosecutor Jetharam Mali, it was effectively contested in court. Mali said on not paying the penalty, convict will have to undergo two months rigourous imprisonment separately.
