Illegal Liquor Trade: Owner Demolishes Another Bldg | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A day after two buildings involved in illicit liquor trade were demolished by its owner, another illicit liquor trade unit was also demolished by the accused on Saturday. This the third building out of the four against which the Jaipur Development Authority has issued notice after police busted an illicit liquor racket on January 21.
“We had issued notices against four structures located across the city on January 26. These four structures are involved in the illicit trade racket. Out of these four structures owners had demolished two on Friday and another structure located at Vaishno Farm in Gwar Brahmanan was also demolished by the owner himself on Saturday,” chief of JDA enforcement wing Raghuveer Saini told TOI.
The building at the Vaishno Farm was used as a storage-cum-distribution centre by the liquor mafias. On January 26, JDA had issued a demolition notice against the owner Rahul Kataria.
“However, the fourth building against which we have issued a notice is still standing and on Sunday we are going to demolish it. Itis located on Plot No. 103 on Badapadampura Road in Shivdaspura. It is used as a storage facility for illicit liquor,” added Saini. On Friday, owners of a building on Dadiya Road in Sanganer and another one on Vatika Road in Vasundhara Nagar had demolished the buildings after receiving notices from the authority. While the building on Dadiya Road was a manufacturing centre, the building on Vatika Road was a storage facility. tnn
