Bishnoi, Godara Had Been Calling Hotelier For Extortion Of ₹5cr | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: The Jaipur police’s primary investigation has revealed that notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his henchman Rohit Godara had been threatening the hotelier for an extortion of Rs 5 crore since January 8.
As per the police, Godara had selected the hotel owner as a prime target to extort a huge sum of money. He made a WhatsApp call for the first time to the victim on January 8.
“Godara had made a WhatsApp call to the victim, he said that “paise nahi diye to zindagi se hath loge” (If you don’t pay the money than you will lose your life),” an official informed TOI.
Sources said that the gangster kept calling the hotelier for the extortion, he then finally sent him a voice message as final warning. “Godara was getting desperate for the money, so he sent a voice message wherein he told the hotelier to respond to his calls,” the official added.
The Jaipur police’s FIR states that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi also made an internet call to the hotelier. Bishnoi told hotelier to follow Godara’s advice. Police said the victim did not approach them earlier with a complaint.
“We did not have any idea that both Godara and Bishnoi were terrorising the hotelier for extortion for a long time. It was only after the shooting at the Days Hotel that we came to know about this fact,” said an official.
Based on the hotelier’s complaint, police filed an FIR naming Bishnoi, Boxer, Godara and Anmol Bishnoi as accused in the firing case.
