KOTA: Demanding implementation of Old Pension Scheme (OPS), retired employees of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) staged satyagraha outside the university gate in Kota on Tuesday.
Dhannajay Gupta, a retired professor from RTU, said that the university directed the retired employees to repay the provident fund they had received with 3% interest and the employees accordingly deposited amount ranging from 60 lakh to 80 lakh by June 30, but the university had not started the pensions as yet.

The demands include salary structure revisions, promotion grades, a transparent transfer policy, rural allowances, and equal salaries and allowances to secretariat employees. The government has not taken any positive decisions on these demands for the past four years. The employees also want the withdrawal of the No Work No Pay order.
Haryana govt employees hold ‘maha rally’ in Delhi seeking restoration of old pension scheme
Thousands of government employees from Haryana gathered in Delhi to demand the implementation of the old pension scheme. The employees highlighted the issues with the new pension scheme and called for the government to accept and implement their demand. Former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced his support for the employees and stated that the old pension scheme would be implemented in Haryana once the Congress government is formed. Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda also expressed his support for the employees and vowed to advocate for their cause.
