Radiology Tests: Health Dept Gets Tough On Radiology Tests Under Rghs | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a bid to monitor radiology and imaging examinations within the Rajasthan Government Health School (RGHS), the government is imposing more stringent regulations.
A noteworthy alteration entails government doctors being obligated to incorporate precise clinical symptoms when recommending costly tests.
A health department official said that order has been issued under which doctors will have to write the name of the disease along with the clinical symptoms of the patients’ OPD prescription. It has been made mandatory. The doctor will have to sign the prescription and he will have to put his or her seal on it, otherwise the prescription will not be acceptable.
It further added that only the prescription signed by a government doctor issued by the government hospital will be acceptable.
The empanelled imaging and diagnostic centres under RGHS will provide the cashless facility only after the new guidelines are followed.
RGHS is a beneficial health insurance plan for beneficiary category including ministers, MLAs, ex-MLAs, all India services, serving and retired employees of state government and of state autonomous bodies. All RGHS beneficiary will have access to the cashless medical facility based on the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) package rates as per the applicable medical rules for the respective RGHS category.
