Social Media: Sharp Cut In Social Media Connect Of Cong In Last 3 Months | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A drastic drop has taken place in the social media outreach of the Congress in the last two months. The total engagements of the party on Facebook fell from 2.57 crore in August to 56.20 lakh in October, a dip of 78.1%.
The number of retweets on ‘X’ also went down from 4.67 lakh in August to 1.19 lakh in October (so far), a 74.4% slump, according to information received from party sources.
In September, the total engagements of the party on Facebook were 2.38 crore and the number of retweets on ‘X’ was 3.40 lakh. According to informed sources in the party, the social media outreach has dropped due to several factors, which include delay in the release of first list of candidates for the assembly elections, and delay in the launch of the ERCP yatra, which was supposed to begin in the last week of September.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will kick off the party’s ERCP yatra on October 16. Party sources said that as per the original plan, the ‘Vision 2030’ document of the state government was to be launched in presence of chief ministers of all the Congress-led governments, but it didn’t materialise.
Also, the party’s ‘door-to-door guarantee card campaign’ was proposed to begin in the last week of September but also did not happen.
Moreover, as per the original plan, chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s 9-day yatra covering 18 districts and more than 3,000 km for ‘Mission 2030’ was supposed to be a ‘yatra’ by road but did not take place.
