Birds Fall Prey To Kites, Rescued | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The kite flying festival put birds in Jaipur in danger as many, mostly pigeons, were found lying injured by the strings of kites on Saturday. Deepak Sharma of Disaster Assistance and Rescue, a voluntary organisation, said more than 20 injured pigeons were rescued from Mahesh Nagar, Patel Nagar and other areas, apart from a kite bird in Hatwara area and an owl. Arvind Kumar, Sodala resident, said five badly injured pigeons were rescued in the area. Rahul Gupta of Khatipura said he received over a dozen calls to rescue injured birds. TNN
