Insomniac Games set a new bar for superhero video games with Marvel’s Spider-Man. But with Wolverine, it has a different beast altogether in its hands, one that cannot be tamed by conventional methods. The studio has a reputation for telling safe and sanitised stories in its games, but it needed to find a darker edge for a character like Logan. Marvel’s Wolverine fails to do that.
