Sushmita Sen will soon be seen essaying the role of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in her upcoming series ‘Taali’. Soon after the first poster was released, the actress was flooded with praise as well as troll comments.

Recently, the actress opened up about the negativity around ‘Taali’ and told News18 that a lot of nameless people commented ‘chhakka’ on her post of the movie.

Sushmita said that she took it very personally because it was happening on her social media account and blocked the trolls. However, after reflecting over it, Sushmita said, “But it hit me that if that’s how it’s making me feel when I’m only portraying Gauri Sawant’s life, they’re living with it every breathing moment of their life.”
Last year, Sushmita had faced a lot of backlash after Lalit Modi spoke about their romance on Instagram. She was tagged as a gold digger on social media. Reacting to negativity, Sushmita told Zoom, “I think it’s good that those comments came to me and I could define ‘gold digger’. An insult is an insult when you receive it, I don’t receive it. So it went out of the window. There are certain things that are nobody’s business. I don’t need to say it’s nobody’s business but I like the words not your business, it’s’ so cool. FYI, single as they come I am. And that is also NYOB, none of your business. It’s always nice to put it out there, very much single.”
