Case against ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ producer Firoz Nadiadwala will be withdrawn, says FWICE President | Hindi Movie News

Akshay Kumar’s film landed in controversy when filmmaker Anees Bazmee said that the movie’s producer, Firoz Nadiadwala, didn’t pay his outstanding dues of ₹2 crores. Following that the film was halted. In an interview with Hindustan Times, BN Tiwari, the President of FWICE confirmed that the shoot will commence on December 11 and the preparation are happening. He also revealed that a set has been erected in Goregaon East, after the makers received clearance from the cinema association. According to him, the cinema association got involved, when the cheque given to Anees Bazmee got bounced, and he approached the association for support. Tiwari also confirmed that Nadiadwala has agreed to pay the balance amount to the director, via FWICE.

Tiwari also confirmed that the association had a meeting with Nadiadwala and that the producer will be clearing the dues through three cheques. Nadiadwala will be writing the cheques to the association and they will pass it on to Bazmee, as the latter is in LA. The President of FWICE also confirmed that the case filed against the producer under section 138 will also be withdrawn.
According to the reports, the first schedule of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ will be filmed in Mumbai.
