50-year-old man beaten to death at railway station in Jaipur

JAIPUR: A 50-year-old man after allegedly being thrashed by a group of men at Jagatpura railway station in Jaipur on Thursday, police said.
Chandrash Meena, who hailed from Bassi, was beaten up following a dispute regarding a train seat occupation, a police officer said.
Upon disembarking at the station, Chandrash was assaulted by one Jitendra Meena and his associates, who subsequently fled the scene.
Efforts were made to provide immediate medical assistance to Chandrash, who was taken to Jaipuria Hospital where he was declared deceased.
The officer further mentioned that following a post-mortem examination conducted on Friday, the body was handed over to the deceased’s family.
The police have taken action by registering a murder case against Jitendra Meena and another individual involved in the incident.
To apprehend the remaining assailants, the police are currently scrutinizing CCTV footage from the railway station.
